Data collected from these cruises are critical for supporting the study of physical oceanography, air-sea interaction, tropical meteorology, as well as global weather and climate variability and predictability. This includes improvement to our fundamental understanding of these processes in the ocean and their influence around the globe including the Continental United States. The data will also support improvement and validation of prediction models including parameterizations. Sensible heat flux was computed from vertical velocity - sonic temperature covariance. The humidity contribution to sonic temperature was removed using the bulk latent heat flux.\n\ncdm_data_type = Trajectory\nVARIABLES:\ncruise_name\ntime (posixtime, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\ncog (course-over-ground, degree)\nsog (speed-over-ground, m/s)\nheading (degree)\nflag_bad_ship (flag 1 = ship maneuvering = questionable state variables and fluxes, 1)\nflag_bad_bulk (flag 1 = wind from aft = questionable state variables and bulk fluxes, 1)\nyear (year)\nmonth (month)\nday (day)\nhour (hour)\ntair (NOAA air temperature at z_tair, degree_Celsius)\ntair_ship (ship air temperature, degree_Celsius)\ntair_2 (NOAA 2 m air temperature, degree_Celsius)\ntair_10 (NOAA 10 m air temperature, degree_Celsius)\ntair_10N (NOAA 10 m neutral air temperature, degree_Celsius)\n...
